Remember, if "It's a Brady"
TOPICS MENU: |
Water! You have to do it consistently and you have to do it right. It doesn't do any good to water a plant only when you plant it then wait for Mother Nature to take care of it. If you do, you'll have a dead plant. Check the plant once a week. Probe a long, pointed object into the ground. If you can't push it in, or if it comes out clean, it's time to water. Lay a hose at the base of the plant for an hour or so. A layer of mulch will help lock the moisture in. Don't rely on sprinklers to do the job. Water in the mornings or evenings. At Brady Nursery, we prefer mornings, as the risk of starting a fungus problem is less likely. Always remember: too much of a good thing can be as bad as having too little. Plants, like anything else, can drown. It's a lot harder to undo overwatering, so be sure to check before watering. Your plants will love you for it! |
